Physical Routine.

Privacy

How Physical Routine uses your information.

Current version

Physical Routine is an adult strength-training app under development. It currently has no account, advertising SDK or analytics tool. Programs are calculated on your iPhone. The developer does not automatically receive your questionnaire, sessions, measurements, photos or Health data.

Local information

The questionnaire may include age, height, weight, goals, availability and health or surgery information. Answers, plans and progress are stored in app files with complete iOS file protection when the iPhone is locked. This relies on your device security, including its passcode. Photos and body measurements are optional. Images are rendered into new pixels before storage so the original filename and EXIF/GPS metadata are not retained. Physical Routine requests that personal files be excluded from automatic backups; earlier backups may retain copies. Deleting the app removes its local data but may not remove backup copies. Individual body journal entries can be deleted in the app. Settings → My data also lets you erase your questionnaire, plan, progress, journal, photos and local migration copy. Physical Routine covers its content when it moves into the background.

Apple Health

Access is optional and requires Apple permissions. Reading and writing permissions are requested separately when the relevant feature is used. Health readings are kept only in memory while displayed, not in Physical Routine files, and cleared when the screen closes or the app moves into the background. Reading can be disabled in Physical Routine without changing existing Apple permissions. The current version reads permitted steps and workouts and can save a completed session with a confirmed duration. Access can be changed in Health settings. Deleting Physical Routine does not automatically delete workouts already saved in Health. Health data is not used for advertising targeting.

Watch, widget and reminders

The paired Watch receives session information and sends confirmations to the iPhone. Widget planning sharing is off by default. If enabled in My data, only the title, date and session count are shared. The questionnaire, photos, body measurements and Health readings are never sent to the Watch or widget. Optional local reminders contain no health measurements and can be disabled in Physical Routine or iOS Settings. Preferences and tutorial history are stored on the device. Erasing local data cancels reminders and resets the widget cache and Watch session state. An offline Watch receives the reset on its next connection. This does not remove workouts already saved in Health, old backups or messages sent to support.

External services and support

Opening a web or App Store link connects you to the relevant service under its own privacy policy. GitHub Pages hosts this website and may process technical information, including IP addresses, when you visit. These Physical Routine pages contain no advertising, application cookies or analytics. If you email support, your address and message are used to answer and follow up on your request. Do not send medical records or Health data; technical support does not need them.

Future changes

This policy describes current functionality. Advertising, purchases or new Health categories will require updated information and, where needed, permissions before use.

Optional Health import

Optional questionnaire import reads only the body weight, height, sleep and heart-rate categories you select. Weight and height are copied after confirmation and stored locally when you save the questionnaire. Sleep and heart readings remain temporary and are cleared on leaving the screen or backgrounding the app. They do not diagnose a condition or automatically change exercise intensity.
